To spin the world from a carousel
The boys and girls of the Fundación Quindiana de Atención Integral (FQAI) enjoyed a day of relaxation at the facilities of the Comfenalco recreational park.
Daniel was afraid to go through the Centenario stadium. His companions were in charge of making him think that there would be the brave fans of Deportes Quindío who, seeing his cap, would rush to take it off and perhaps burn it. It is that Daniel’s cap is particular, its fluorescent orange color highlights the “green of the mountain” shield, Atlético Nacional is the team he loves.
While Daniel and his friends were waiting to pass in front of the Centennial stadium, Melissa was looking in her pink bag for a package of peanuts that she promised to share with her bus mate, Brandon was worried because the bottle of pony malt that he carried in his briefcase His towel and change of clothes were beginning to get wet. For her part, Jennifer put a vallenato song on her cell phone, music that was lost in the laughter of the other boys and girls who hoped to arrive soon for the long-awaited pool day.
Daniel alleviated his concern for him with a cry of victory in front of a stadium that was next to a large purple tent that visits the city these days. But the general desire was only relieved when the bus finally reached its destination, the Comfenalco park swimming pools.
The recreationists of the park made possible a morning of a lot of physical activity that ended with an impromptu soccer game that made the FQAI children “break a sweat”. Lunch under the trees was pleasant, especially because of the light wind that cooled the perception of 30° Celsius under the inclement midday sun. However, the sun could not appease the desire to play of the boys and girls who, between screams and races, decided to make the world go around from a carousel that, in addition to laughter, caused a lot of dizziness.
The sun reflected in a blue that illuminated the pale faces of sunscreen of the boys and girls who attended the lifeguard’s instructions. A shout of joy began the long-awaited pool that, between balls, jumps, laughter and water, concluded a day of recreation and camaraderie.
Unfortunately it was time to leave the park. Daniel was no longer worried about going through the stadium again, Brandon had shared his malta pony, Jennifer no longer wanted to listen to vallenatos but the laughter of the FQAI boys and girls remained on their faces as a thank you to the life that reminds us that happiness is in the little things.
